Have Faith ... and carry on

Have faith ... and carry on - this one came to me as an idea last night. Watching Babylon 5, G'kar (seemingly sinister, snake like and dangerous, but in fact also a poet and prophet) said in the episode we were watching "my muse is coming to me". Well here was the thought "Have faith..." is an easy thing to say. Over the years the phrase has had sometimes irked me when I've heard it - it's probably something that can really annoy someone who is on the receiving end of it. But when we say it, hopefully its an affirmation of what we really think. Coupled with the "... and carry on" seems to me to be a lovely echo of the old war poster sentiment ... things may not be perfect, but carry on anyway. Too deep for a Friday?
